Summary Under moderate supervision, the developer will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of custom forms, services, libraries and web applications created utilizing the Microsoft Visual Studio toolset. The primary focus of these responsibilities will be the migration of existing Oracle based applications to a new suite of custom applications developed with Microsoft front end and database tools. The developer will be responsible for the gathering, interpretation and implementation of design requirements from management and or the end user community for the purpose of creating and maintaining enterprise software that supports the needs of HLSRs full time and volunteer user communities. Additionally, the Developer will follow, recommend and assist with the implementation of industry best practices for software development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following. Manage the full lifecycle of application development for HLSR forms, console, framework and web applications in conjunction with other software team members (i.e. Database Developers and Quality Assurance).Follow best practices in the designing, coding and debugging of applications in the required software languages.Follow best practices in software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, and software reliability analysis.Be proficient in front end graphical user interface design, especially mobile friendly web interfaces.Provide software testing and quality assurance of work product to the point that the product is ready for software team testing and or end user testing.Provide performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability and automation where necessary.Support, maintain and document software functionality.Integrate software with existing systems as necessary.Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation.Manage the migration of the existing code base to new technologies as required.Assist with Project Planning and Project Management, especially as it relates to assigned software projects. Development experience should be primarily focused on either Visual Basic or C# languages with a working understanding of both languages that will promote the ability to migrate to the C# language.

Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
