We are seeking a software engineering manager to join our Digital Home group, which is responsible for creating and shipping the internet and home security experiences that delight our customers and exceed their expectations. Within Digital Home, the xFi Coverage Platform team builds a middleware layer supporting a variety of Xfinity xFi clients, from customer facing interfaces for web and mobile to tools supporting technicians and care agents as well as API integrations.
In this role, you will directly manage 5-10 people ranging in experience, including full-time-employees and contractors. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead multiple project initiatives, providing guidance to engineering teams and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements. The ideal candidate can articulate what she or he has learned from past management experiences and how their values have shaped the growth of a team. This person should demonstrate an interest in others with an eye towards creating an inclusive team culture.
- 1+ years managing software engineers, setting goals and developing career plans
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of Agile Software Development Life Cycle
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Deployment tools
- Experience with HTTP and RESTful web services
- A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for code quality that follows best practices
- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent, Computer Science, Engineering
- Generally requires 6-9 years related experience
